Created attachment 133622 [details] Document showing three different color selected While inserting a line in document (Insert->Shape->Line). The bar that helps to customize the properties of line is confusing regarding color. To give color to the line we have three options "Line Color", "Fill Color", "Fill Color"(According to more detailed preference). This creates a lot of confusion particularly while creating a simple line. It would be better to have the undesirable options to be disabled for all cases unless polygons are drawn. Yes, the left "Fill Color" can be removed. The drop-down for selecting the color is integrated in the "Fill Style", and the left "Fill Color" has no advantage; it cannot be moved to a new place, because it vanished immediately, when you drag it.
(In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #1) > Yes, the left "Fill Color" can be removed. Agreed. (In reply to Fakabbir amin from comment #0) > It would be better to have the undesirable options to be disabled for all > cases unless polygons are drawn. Please do not hide the inappropriate controls. Better disable the remaining fill color options when a line is selected.
> Please do not hide the inappropriate controls. Better disable the remaining > fill color options when a line is selected. Yes, this also could be done to avoid confusion. But having disabled and unhindered controls might look crowded.
No further input from UX needed, please implement. Perhaps it's an easyhack.
