Description zahra 2017-06-12 06:44:17 UTC
Description:
hello every one.
i appreciate you because you helped me to open all of my books with libreoffice 5.2.6 and 5.2.7 properly without crash.
but unfortunately in libreoffice 5.2, calc is not very accessible for screen reader users.
i use libreoffice 5.2.6.1 and wish to keep it forever, but i have a few file to open them on calc.

Steps to Reproduce:
1- install libreoffice 5.1 and 5.2 together.
2- install nvda screen reader to test.
3- open the example attached file with calc 5.1 and try to read it with nvda screen reader.
4- open also this file with 5.2 and try to read it with nvda.

Actual Results:
observed behaviour:
in 5.1 calc is completely accessible with nvda and easy to use.
but in 5.2 nvda reads extra information including the directory and path of file with extra information about the name of file and also about navigator.

Expected Results:
expected result: calc should be accessible for screen readers in 5.2 and later, like 5.1 and nvda should not read extra information.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: yes

Additional Info:
i use windows xp 32bit servicepack3 and tested with libreoffice 5.2.5, 5.2.6, 5.2.7 and 5.3.3
but i read that this problem occured in the libreoffice 5.2 and i am not sure exactly about the version number.
my firefox version is 52.0ES

is there any settings that maybe related to the bug?
is there any solution or setting that i should change in calc to return accessibility of calc 5.2 and later?
Comment 4 Buovjaga 2017-06-12 10:46:18 UTC
I reproduce with 5.3, but not with 5.4. In 5.3 it read the whole path, when I left my mouse over the title bar when it was loading the file. After it had loaded, I could not get it to say the whole path.
With 5.4, it did not read the whole path in any way I tried.

Tried with NVDA 2017.2 and LibreOffice 5.3.1.2 and 5.4.0.0.alpha0+ from 2017-04-20 on Win 7 Pro 64-bit.

zahra: if you want to try 5.4 beta2, it is here: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/?version=5.4.0
By the way, 5.4 is the last version to support Windows XP and Vista.

whats the reason for incompatibility of calc 5.2 and 5.3 with nvda?
this problem was not in previous versions of calc\!
if you say, that which calc setting i should change in options in tools menu to revert accessibility, i sincerely appreciate it.
i wish that know which new feature or change, causes this problem.

I have no idea what the reason is, but it seems to be gone in 5.4, so please try it. No setting changes will make it go away.

hello.
today i downloaded libreoffice 5.4.0.3
using geek uninstaller, completely uninstalled libreoffice and removed registry entries.
but calc is still unusable for me using version 5.4.0!
nvda says path of file with many extra information, not content of cells!
hope that help and God bless you.
Comment 15 zahra 2017-09-19 13:02:53 UTC
hello again.
could someone test and confirm using libreoffice versions 5.3.4, 5.3.5 and 5.3.6?
i think that the issue is resolved for me!
but some blind users still say we use 5.2 version of libreoffice for the problems which occure in 5.3 branch.

but in my test, using 5.3.4, 5.3.5 and 5.3.6, nvda only says the content of cells not the extra informations for the path of file!
what happened?

i realy dont know.
hope that someone test and help me.

may i ask another question more?

if i typed something by mistake, for example wrong link or wrong version of libreoffice, how can i edit my reports and comments?
i did not find edit button.
God bless you and his infinite mercy i pray for you.
Comment 16 Buovjaga 2017-09-19 13:12:56 UTC
You edit bug reports by first changing the field values and then using the "Save Changes" button to update.

As you confirmed the fix, I will change status to resolved worksforme.

Comment 18 Buovjaga 2017-09-19 13:30:22 UTC
Well, I already confirmed the fix in my comment 4.

The Save Changes button is in two places, I will tell you the html markup:
<input value="Save Changes" id="commit_top" type="submit">
<input value="Save Changes" id="commit" type="submit">

As you said 5.3.4 and later work for you, there is no need for me to test with them. I already confirmed in my comment 4 that it was fixed. Whatever the fix was, it went into 5.4 and 5.3.4.

I gave you the html as I supposed you could find the markup easier that way. The buttons are located to the right of the summary and below the comment input field.

i can only edit the summary, not for example: comment number 25 in a specific bug which i reported!
what should i do?

Comment editing is not yet supported, but it is coming in the next version of Bugzilla.
