Description ultimoblaze 2017-07-29 23:48:12 UTC
Description:
While using libreoffice calc version 5.3.1.2 build 1:5.3.1-0ubuntu2 the curser will get stuck on the cross hair and prevent mouse functions.

Scenario: A spreadsheet with a cell that has validity set to "Cell range" and a named range entered. Highlighted said cell and attempt to drag using lower right corner.

Result: List will appear, but the cell does not drag. Cursor gets stuck as a cross hair. Mouse will move but will no longer function in operating system. Spreadsheet does not respond to keyboard shortcuts. Killing the process solves the problem.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create named range
2. Select a cell and set validity Cell Range to Named Range
3. Click and attempt to drag cell (to copy validity rules)

Actual Results:
Mouse cursor stuck as cross hair. Mouse moves but does not function for entire operating system. LibreOffice becomes unresponsive.

Expected Results:
The cell should copy the format from the source cell to the target cell.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Creating a new file from scratch did not show the problem at first. The problem arose after multiple attempts at dragging the box different directions.

After creating the test file it is not as repeatable as yesterday. It worked as expected for a few times then locked up just the same. I checked the file that I discovered the issue with and it worked at first as well.

After some more testing, it seems that if you select the box with a validity set and hover over the lower right hand corner so that the mouse becomes cross hairs but are very close to the drop down button, when clicking the drop down will appear and the mouse will stay as the cross hair and no longer function.

It seems no one could reproduce this issue.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
