Are you sure you are not downloading the html content instead of the rtf file? What happens if you open the document in the desktop? I copied this https://raw.githubusercontent.com/qt-haiku/LibreOffice/master/sw/qa/core/data/rtf/pass/abi2128.rtf to a local document and I can see the document with Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 4136757
