Description: All the office products for ex microsoft office, adobe pdf in the first printing dialog have a check button to print on the both sides of the paper , for the auto double side printing printers , that are the most used . There is no such an option and its very very important, going to the setting and everytime selecting from there its really a very big disadvantage. Actual Results: To print in both sides in a auto dual side printer is crazy !! you must go to options and everytime doing many steps, in other office suites its so much easier. Expected Results: in the first dialog of the print , in the General tab, there must be a check box where you can check an option like "print on both sides" , please this is so very very important. Hope very soon to see this. i will send an email with a picture to see an example and write more , i will include the bug refer number to know what is the email about... Please If you are not going to assign yourself the bug, don't put it as new, somebody else must do it.
Isn't such a feature depending on the printer driver, rather than on the office-application?
From the UX perspective there is nothing to say against a checkbox next to reverse order, disabled when the printer is not capable of duplex. @Bubli: IIRC you are one who care about this dialog. How much effort is that? Easyhack or not.

Sure - but I would say the interesting part is to read the printer drivers capabilities. To an extend that it's a far reach for LibreOffice. Looking at a generic Windows print dialog (2012, https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms646964(v=vs.85).aspx) there is no duplex too.
any way that this option will be available on libreoffice print dialogue? it will be really amazing, hope it can be done. Thanks
I just saw the attachment user Gian uploaded, the example is really perfect!!! we were looking for something similar for so long! Please consider this to be implemented in the printing dialog, its so important for us and i am sure for much more people, Adobe did it on its main printing dialog after they saw it was so important for the users. Regards

We use LibreOffice even if the competition is so high, the reason no because its free but because people gathered all around and build something really amazing, they did an office suite and they did it amazingly good, we support and we try to spread the use of this amazing creation that in our opinion must be promoted more and more. The need of this option in the main printing dialog is important and we know that people will try their best to make it, comparing libreoffice printing dialog with the printing dialog from other product its ok just we want to see liblreoffice beyond that . We dont believe that because the other office solution doesnt have it that liblreoffice must do the same. we believe libreoffice must be much more perfect and by adding such options "in our discussion the option to have a checkbox to double side print from the main dialog window" makes it so much attractive for so many users and companies, we need to know that we can have a tool that can replace the tools that we in printing industry use,we really want and try to use libreoffice alot and especially the double side printing option is us everybody know a must have in printing industry... and ofcourse for us too its very important to be in the main printing dialog, for many reasons, maybe this is our priority and for some other not but this is the amazing with this excellent creation , you can say your mind, you can ask if you can have this or that, and many times it will be implemented! thats why we prefer this "free" office suite, created by people that need to be congratulated for that, and we try to avoid the other "paid" solutions that many thing that are by far more good... because we know we will take no opinions... no option to suggest this or that and no way to make it "work" for us, i thing this is really important... sorry for the long text.... Thank you
How about doing this very soon, the example this guy uploaded is good! please consider this to be available soon, its really life saver!
thanks for all encouragements. It's open source guys, so feel free..
(In reply to Cor Nouws from comment #11) > thanks for all encouragements. It's open source guys, so feel free.. Nice like saying well this feature will be available when ms office will get open source........ thanks alot.... I must say thanks to all the above users for their support and support comments.
What I do to print with color or black and white is having two printers defined on the system for the same driver, every one with their own configuration.
