Description Robert Großkopf 2017-08-14 09:31:13 UTC
Created attachment 135541 [details]
Open the table and follow the instructions of the bug-description

1.Open the attached database.
2.Open the table.
3. Write in first row, for example, 201 instead of 200 for the field "Number".
4. Don't save this (by mouse klicking anywhere in another field or something else.
5. Now scroll down for more than 46 rows.
6. Try to save the row, which you couldn't see any more.
6.a) You could press the SAVE-Button > didn't work.
6.b) You could click anywhere > didn't work.
6.c) You could try to close the tableview > you are asked if changed values should be saved, but "Yes" didn't work.

Only possibility: Scroll up again to see the cursor in the field you have changed. Now you could save the row.

Bug appears with Version: 5.4.0.3 on OpenSUSE 42.2 64bit rpm Linux, but also with earlier versions and with the daily build from 2017-08-14 of L= 6.0.0.0 alpha0
Comment 1 Robert Großkopf 2017-08-14 09:40:46 UTC
Could reproduce this also with LO 3.6.7.2.
No earlier Version installed here, so it could be it is inherited by OOo.

Comment 5 Robert Großkopf 2017-08-14 19:05:46 UTC
Confirmed by comment 2, comment 3. So I will set this one to NEW
Comment 6 Gerhard Weydt 2017-08-14 19:26:43 UTC
I can confirm this for LibO 4.3.6.2 and 5.3.4.2 on Win10 64 Bit, also with a database document of my own making.
Some other features that do not work either, in the same constellation:
- Save using the menu entry
- go to first, last, next, previous record
- symbol "Edit data" asks whether the changed data should be saved, but nothing happens, same as Robert stated for "Save"; b u t the menu item "edit data" works correctly!

On the other hand, all works fine if you enter a new record instead of changing an existing one.

Dear Robert Großkopf,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team
