See Bug 111848 Has example files attached I save the ODP to PPTX. Page number is lost in footer, and it does not place it in the the same place as the original in the first master page. This may be because PPTX has a whole bunch of Master pages for different formats which are created automatically, but the slide no is not propagated to the additional master pages
Hi Elmar, I reproduce when saving in PPTX format, but not with PPT. LO 5.4.0.3 (x64) Build ID: 92c2794a7c181ba4c1c5053618179937228ed1fb Threads CPU : 2; OS : Windows 6.1; UI Render : par défaut; Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR); Calc: CL

Confirmed I could not see the footer page number in your ODP file so I had to create my own ODP file. - Page numbering is kept when saved in PPT - Page numbering is not kept when saved in PPTX Version: 6.0.0.1 (x64) Build ID: d2bec56d7865f05a1003dc88449f2b0fdd85309a CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; Locale: bg-BG (bg_BG); Calc: group

I didn't find this bug, and created bug 117339, for versions back to 4.1.6.2 Linux, sorry for the duplicate. I might have erroneously searched in the wrong bug system (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/). The entry #117339 also contains a xml fragment that - placed into slide xml - shows slide numbers. Out of urgent need I did it manually unknowing if that's the proper way and technique. Still it might be helpful to get ideas.
