Hello, RTL documents show the comments on the left side of the screen. When selecting to print the document including its comments in the margin, the highlights and bubbles are ok, but the margin is on the right side of the paper. It means comments are misplaced. the result is a shrank text with blank right margin.

Dear Hamid, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Still present in Version: 7.4.1.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 3c58a8f3a960df8bc8fd77b461821e42c061c5f0 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL
I don't think this is RTL specific, I tested as LTR, and it is the same. Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 9fb3970a1a599eae2447f6746597843434ee758b CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.2; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
(In reply to BogdanB from comment #15) > I don't think this is RTL specific, I tested as LTR, and it is the same. I tested in RTL, and did not reproduce. So, I believe this is RTL specific. Also - I see this already in the Preview, in the Print dialog: The comment is cut off. Confirming with: Version: 24.8.0.0.beta1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 318462181c709ed29c01eb3239b4d600d7b82ecc CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.6; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US
(In reply to Eyal Rozenberg from comment #16) Umm, typo there. Let me clarify: LTR page style -> Comments in margins print fine RTL page style -> Comments in margins are cut off Reconfirmed with: Version: 24.2.4.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 51a6219feb6075d9a4c46691dcfe0cd9c4fff3c2 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.6; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US
