Description Stihios 2017-08-20 15:38:31 UTC
Description:
Navigating within a Calc document consisting of multiple spreadsheets using [Control + Page Up] and [Control + Page Down]is very slow. Holding down [Control + Page Up/Down] would run the focus from page 1 to say 30 in tenths of a second, with this LO version it takes maybe 8 seconds. Also step by step navigation is slowed, so holding down Control and quickly pressing Page Up or Page Down say 6 times will transfer the focus for instance 3 or 4 spreadsheets instead of the 6 you wanted.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create Calc document with say 20-30 spreadsheets. No need to insert any data in the cells.
2.Navigate through them using [Control + Page up] and [Control + Page down]
3.Try both quick step by step navigation and "fast" navigation by holding down [Control + Page up/down].

Actual Results:
Navigating through spreadsheets is slow.

Expected Results:
Navigating throug spreadsheets should be fast.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: I tried LibreOffice 4.4.2.2 and it worked fantastic. I tried Libreoffice 5.4.0 on a fresh install, also on a separate machine, to no avail.

Additional Info:
Fresh windows install; i7 processor, 16GB machine.

Not seeing any of the problems mentioned. Only annoyance on Win is the flickering of the UI.

I downgraded to Version 4.4.2.2, because the issue slowed down my work (I do a lot of moving around within spreadsheets).

I will upgrade soon for the sake of trouble shooting, but it will have to wait untill I have some work done. Not looking forward to do so.

You don't have to upgrade or downgrade or wait - just install this master build which automatically becomes parallel to your stable one: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86_64@62-TDF/current/
