Description Yan 2017-08-21 02:57:00 UTC
When I create an input form with a sub-form (1:1 relationship) embedded, the input fields have different, but apparently horribly wrong size settings. E.g. the associated database column has 250 characters, the input field stops at 50, while with other colums set to the length of 100 the input field is limited to 5 characters.

Storage backend: MySQL (connected directly with libreoffice-mysql-connector from Debian Stretch 1.0.2+LibO5.2.7-1).

It's difficult matter, please give a hint on how to supply material for debugging purposes.

@Yan : ideally, it would be helpful to identify whether this problem only exists when using the mysql native driver provided by Debian, or whether it is also reproducible using the embedded hsqldb. To that end, please provide a sample database with 1:1 subform that relies on embedded hsqldb.

Setting to NEEDINFO pending requested information.

I tried, and it appears, hsqldb gives no such problems.

A few more remarks: With the MySQL direct access, the problem exists even without sub-form. I have the impression, that the input fields are delimited by the number of characters of the actual length of the immediately prior record.

@Yan : can you provide us with a sample minimalist DDL that we could use as a test table in mysql, along with a sample form ?
