Description: I am writing a tutorial for a website, with various text styles and several images (low resolution, grabbed from screen). The save process is extremely slow, the computer hangs for about one minute prior to complete the save task. I have increased the memory footprint in Options>Memory. Now I have 800MB for LibreOffice, 30MB per Object, 30 Objects in cache. But the program is almost unusable with complex docs. My notebook has a i7 CPU and a big RAM and Disk dotation. Please help me to solve this issue, very critical for scientific writers (like me) and also for students who wants to produce thesis and illustrated docs. I am using the standard "odt" file format. Please note the issue takes place also during Open File task. Steps to Reproduce: 1. open the file 2. modify the file 3. save the file Actual Results: a doc with about 10 pages, with tables, resized images, advanced align and several font styles Expected Results: the computer hang for a minute Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No. But if I try the Safe Mode the problem is still present, at the same manner. Is it any faster with a master build (it installs alongside your stable)? http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86_64@62-TDF/current/ Naturally we would need to document to test. Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the document.

I have the version 5.3.2.0 64 bit on Windows 10. Using already resized images the problem is minimal. Actually the software is less responsive than Office Suite, and I suppose has a different management of memory and OLE. But I still prefer Libre Office interface and functionalities. Thanks and regards Marco
Ok, but please try 6.0.2 as it has thousands of fixes compared with 5.3.2.
I am not able to find any new version. The link provided by you is broken. Also, I would like to test the real 64bit version of software, because some versions are marked as X-86 and not X-64. Please give me the correct link in order to install latest version. Thanks and regards Marco

Use this now instead: https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86_64@42/current/
Great! I'm downloading. After install I'll give you some feedback. Thanks Marco
I can confirm a real step ahead in terms of responsiveness and memory management. I recommend to turn off anti aliasing and open GL, in order to avoid a bad font rendering. Thanks a lot Marco
