Description:
I don't see any option to disable AutoUpdate, I guess it can be on the expert configuration: org.openoffice.Office.Update.Update

If something goes wrong with the update or there is some bug, having an option to disable the update after return to a previous one, I think would be fine.

it sounds reasonable
Comment 2 Markus Mohrhard 2017-09-13 17:46:32 UTC
org.openoffice.Office.Update.Enable already does that.

Sure, but how many users are able to fight with the expert configuration.

Searching for 'update' on the expert configuration, result doesn't keep in a page.

I think we can keep the actual options for 'Online Update', deleting the download destination.

Can be very useful for people with slow connections, that they are not few, I think.

My impression it's that check takes a time, and while waiting one don't know what it's happening, more time between also can help.
On the other side, making possible update when there is a good or a free internet connection, could be another good reason.
