Description rogue1618 2017-09-14 02:06:52 UTC
Description:
I have been regularly updating LibreOffice.
Every time, I also download and install the Help files.
All installs go to default locations.
First time today I try using the Help and I always get the message
"The LibreOffice built-in help is not installed on your computer.
You may either install it from our website or your system's repositories, or read an online version."
It also gives me 2 buttons, Read Online or Cancel.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start LibreOffice, any part of it.
2. Click Help Menu then LibreOffice Help or use F1 key.
3. Get error box in screenshot.

I always get the message

Hi rogue1618,

Are you sure to have downloaded and installed
LibreOffice_5.4.1_Win_x64.msi and
LibreOffice_5.4.1_Win_x64_helppack_en-US.msi
from
https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/?type=win-x86_64&version=5.4.1&lang=en-US
Checksums and additionnal info can be verified by selecting Info under the download button.
The JRE(Java Runtime Environment) have to be 64 bits too.

Pretty sure, I follow the link provided in LibreOffice when it tells me there is a new version out.

Should I try uninstalling and reinstalling?
Comment 7 Jacques Guilleron 2017-09-17 08:03:16 UTC
I just installed this version with the en-US helppack without issue.
So yes, uninstall and reinstall again, with a new profile if possible.
