Description fernandoprezgmez@gmail.com 2017-09-16 23:33:55 UTC
a few weeks ago, an individual of your organization asserted me in a tone of superiority quite insulting that the failure was because I have been using unstable versions and have tried all the "stable" versions offered by the Spanish website and the problem is repeat . I cleaned all the remains of the installations made and I installed the one offered by the Ubuntu software center and the problem persists
The operating system is ubuntu 17.04 32 bits, the problem already existed in ubuntu 16.04. The computer is a Dell Latitude E64000

I'm afraid there's no existing bug report from your e-mail address. Would you mind giving further details, including reproduction steps for your issue? An exact version from Help -> About would also be helpful (I assume by "unstable" versions you mean unsupported versions).

By default, Base uses hsqldb which needs Java so, if you use LO 32 bits, you must have Java 32 bits, if you use LO 64 bits, you must have Java 64 bits.

You can also retrieve last stable LO version 5.3.5 (or even 5.4.1) from LO ppa.

Finally, you can rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#GNU.2FLinux).

I have tried everything regarding java, in libreoffice> advanced tools> recognizes a jre (java 8) environment and base still does not work, on the other hand I have had prblemas when installing both version 5.2 and 5.4, including broken packages. My intention is to format the system (I need to know how to avoid installing the unstable version by default) or rather remove it and install version 5.4 but I do not know what the official repository is. I will note all the steps done and all possible error messages, both from Ubuntu and LibreOffice and send a more detailed report. My fear is not being able to uninstall completely the unstable version that comes with the ubuntu software center, Thanks, I think the problem is that I have not completely uninstalled the unstable version and it conflicts with the others. When I have done the formatting I will inform
