Description: Dropping a file to a toolbar area doesn't open it as if it was opened using the open dialog. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Drag & Drop a file to the toolbar area. Actual Results: Nothing happens, dropping to a toolbar area is not allowed. Expected Results: Opening the file as if it was opened using the "Open" dialog. Do you have Quicklaunch enabled? Also what OS? What "Toolbar"--a screen shot perhaps?

Confirmed, only the document canvas or the Start Center's canvas parse drag-n-drop actions--as does the application frame (depending on OS/DE). But, isn't that enough? Not sure we gain anything with complexity of adding drag-n-drop target to Start Center tabbar, Toolbars, Sidebar decks, Status bar etc. To me a WONTFIX.
Is there any way to drop a file to the Writer window that will open the dropped file instead of creating a section from that file?
