I Werner, I don't reproduce with LO 6.0.0.0.alpha1+ (x64) Build ID: a5af0fd9f27af42cf2e8571f659cdad6e606215b CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default; TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2017-11-07_00:30:02 Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR); Calc: CL and some anterior versions. Somebody else with Windows 10 perhaps.
(In reply to Werner from comment #0) > Description: > LibreOffice writer cursor disappears when text box is inserted. That's the normal behaviour. But the cursor appears within the textbox and it appears in the normal text, if you click somewhere outside the textbox. So I'd like to narrow down your problem: Do you miss the cursor within the textbox or do you miss it, when you click outside the textbox? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' after you gave the information.
I know that, and so it always has been with the previous versions. When the text box is open, the cursor flashes in the text box. That's OK. You can then enter a text and edit it later. However, if you leave the text field and click in the area outside the text field, there is no longer a cursor. You have to save the file, close LO and reopen both. Then everything goes again. But that is not normal.
Does it also occur with LO 5.4 or an actual version from the master? http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86_64@42/current/ I can't reproduce it with Version: 6.0.0.0.alpha1 (x64) Build ID: c1d1f859b268f650143d48f294999cda0fa57350 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; Locale: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group
I have updated to version 5.3.6.1 (current version in Germany). This eliminated the problem immediately. It works again like the old versions. Thanks for the support!
