Ah wait, this isn't a duplicate of that one.. you mean when the cursor is moved the highlighting goes away. Has always been the case. Quite sure we also already have that one somewhere, but reopening for the time being.

Just to clarify steps per notes in Comment 2: 1. Open Calc 2. Create a SUM formula in cell B1 (e.g. =SUM(A1:A11)) 3. Enter 4. Click Formula bar 5. Use left/right arrow keys to move cursor 6.
