That has no meaning, not one of our TinderBoxes. Where did your package come from? If from a mirror, please verify your hash value against those listed in the archive build "details" here:

https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/5.4.3.2/win/x86/

Otherwise please uninstall, and do a CLI install package listed in this archive and capture a verbose installation log. That is, from a command window (cmd.exe) run as Administrator: "msiexec.exe /i LibreOffice_5.4.3.2_Win_x86.msi /L*v LO5432installLog.txt".

If the install with matching HASH value launches correctly--you're set. Otherwise zip and post the verbose install log.

"...That has no meaning, not one of our TinderBoxes...." -- ???

I reported a bug. Make yourself useful and address it. All necessary information is present in the bug report - this has happened on 2 separate machines.

I wanted to try LibreOffice - but have since uninstalled it as not working if kind of a big flaw to me.

Sorry, not reproducible and without your additional input nothing we will be able to do.

Would you please copy and paste the information on Help - About Libreoffice, and check the Visual C++ runtime version and bit? is it 32bit or 64 bit?

Quote from the release notes:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable is required for this release, and is not installed by LibreOffice installer (except for Windows XP). The redistributable is an OS component, that comes preinstalled with Windows 10, and with a Windows Update for Windows Vista through 8.1. If it is absent on user's system, it must be installed separately from Microsoft website. Installed redistributable's bitness (32- or 64-bit) must match LibreOffice's bitness (not OS bitness). Otherwise installation will succeed, but an error will be shown on program start: "The program cannot start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try to reinstalling the program to fix this problem".

LibreOffice bitness is shown in Help ▸ About (for 32-bit, simply "Version: 5.4.2.2" is shown; for 64-bit, "Version: 5.4.2.2 (x64)"). It is OK to install both 32- and 64-bit redistributable on single 64-bit OS in case of doubt.

Maybe we should modify the bugzilla guide to false the bug reporter to copy paste the Help - About Libreoffice info. Most new reporters do not know this.
Comment 6 Kevin Suo 2017-11-27 10:53:10 UTC
Adding a very similar bug, bug 113210, as see also.

Ops... Since the application does not run, you are not able to copy the About information.
Please provide the filename of the installer then.

I think the 69 mentioned by the reporter is a typo and it should really be 64.

Stephen: as you uninstalled 5.4 already, maybe you would like to try the 6.0 beta to see what happens: https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/win/x86_64/LibreOfficeDev_6.0.0.0.beta1_Win_x64.msi

It is mentioned in "Additional information" https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=LibreOffice&format=guided

Latest release installs and functions as expected.
Comment 10 V Stuart Foote 2017-12-06 13:13:38 UTC
Ideally we'd need you to uninstall and have another go at a 5.4.3.2 64bit package install with verbose logging to identify original issue.

Otherwise => WFM to close out.

Thanks for letting us know things have resolved.
