Description: I created a new document. bullets normally occur with the same font as the text, but these bullets are different fonts.. sub level bullets are done in the same style... so I have multiple nested 1.2.3. lists instead of 1.2.3. a.b.c. i.ii.iii as I believe used to be normal.. when exiting the sub level it totally exits the numbered lists. Created attachment 137991 [details] The file that is all goobered Pretty frustrated., also, I didn't get a search field when I went to the bugzilla to check to see if this is a duplicate bug or not. It would be a good idea to make it easy for people to search for duplicates.
I think you have approached the numbering in "the wrong way" ie., not relying on paragraph styles. You should create a new paragraph style for the numbering. The following assumes redoing the thing in a fresh document. Go to the sidebar, Style & formatting, Paragraph styles, right-click Default and select New. In the Organizer tab, give it some cool name. In the Outline and numbering tab, change Numbering style from None to some of the Numbering x ones. Press OK to create the new style. Double-click the name of the new style to apply it to the paragraph. You will notice it is a numbered list right away. Type some nonsense filler text and hit enter, hit tab to increase indent, filler text, enter, tab again so you are at level 3, filler text. Now you can edit your paragraph style (right-click, modify) and see how changing the Numbering style affects the look (hitting Apply without closing the dialog). If you don't find a look you like, you can create a new numbering style in the List Styles section of the Styles & formatting sidebar deck. You can edit the outline type, position of the different levels etc. You might also be interested in this free/choose-your-price book and its chapter 10: http://designingwithlibreoffice.com/download-buy/ These types of problems should first be submitted to https://ask.libreoffice.org/ I am setting to needinfo and hoping you can verify that this style-based approach works for you.
There has been some work on the included numbering and bullet list styles. Please try a daily build from master. It can be installed parallel to your regular LibreOffice.
This bug didn't start well but has a ground: Writer doesn't offer straightforward way to use Outline numbering. We may turn this one to "Add Outline dropdown icon to Writer toolbar".

(In reply to Timur from comment #4) > We may turn this one to "Add Outline dropdown icon to Writer toolbar". Why? I would just resolve this issue as ID or WFM.
yes please WFM. The description is not clear for me, response on other comments zero.
