I tried to use the files attached but the .ods seems to be corrupted.
If I used the database 'bibliography' from LibreOffice I don't reproduce the crash.
Do you reproduce the crash with this database as well?

odd.

No. It does crash with a data source that is linked to a spreadsheet/ods.

non corrupt ods:)
Comment 5 Julien Nabet 2017-11-28 20:17:22 UTC
I don't understand well how to reproduce this.

Indeed, you tell:
"drag field (column header) to document"
Here i got a grey field on my brand writer doc.

Then in parentheses, you indicate:
"(Select row, click "Data to fields" on tool bar Table Data)"

Why to put this in parenthesis, it's just another step not the detail of "drag field..." step since it's different.

Then, "close data source window". I don't see a specific window with a cross to close. I tried "disconnect" option after right click on "namen_test.ods"

I suppose I missed something but don't know what.

BTW, I tried with master sources updated today with gtk rendering.

I can't reproduce it in

Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 2618e4a13d719122e6358d9d96864d1691e56a02
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2;
Locale: th-TH (ca_ES.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

Do you drag any column in particular?

Yes sorry - I think it does not matter for me.

View > Data source or Ctrl+Shift+F4 does this

Not that I'm aware of. I do have the same problem with a older document with fields, also linked to a data source, linked to an ods.

Doesn't the crash report show anything useful?

Will test again of course :)
Comment 9 Cor Nouws 2017-11-29 22:22:24 UTC
hmm, ships... seems to work OK in a clean user profile - though I had a pretty clean one recently..
Closing for the moment...
Thanks for testing, guys!

the problem appears to be somewhere in the registrymodifications.xcu
But where..
