Steps how to reproduce with Version: 5.4.2.2
Build-ID: 22b09f6418e8c2d508a9eaf86b2399209b0990f4 CPU-Threads: 4; Betriebssystem:Windows 6.1; UI-Render: Standard; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group

1. Open arbitrary Spreadsheet with text contents in columns
2. Activate autofilters for all columns
3. Click Autofilter-▼ in Column Heading of column with text contents
» Autofilter Quick select dialog appears, shows list with checkboxes
4. Click on a relatively long string in visible area of Quick Filter Dialog
Expected: String becomes highlighted, nothing else
Actual: right end of filter string becomes truncated, in screenshots below
you see that the highlighted "°(o)° Privat WS NA" can no longer be
distinguished from "°(o)° Privat WS" in line above

Not reproduced.

If you suspect it is profile-related, do this with 5.4: Help - Restart in safe mode and then Continue in safe mode without doing anything else.

I also can't reproduce this one on a WIN10 Laptop, and also not reproducible with a newly created user profile.
I will do further investigation to find out the roots an to check whether the issue is of general interest
