Description Hans van Buitenen 2017-12-10 13:09:56 UTC
Description:
Files preceded with a dot are not invisible in the file (open, save-as) dialogs on Linux. This makes finding your files unnecessary hard. This is not how it should be. Even on Windows this behavior (hiding these files) should not be a problem.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. File, Open (On Linux)
2. Check if you see the hidden files
3.

Actual Results:
All files are shown

Expected Results:
Only user files should be visible

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

You can toggle the visibility of such files using 'Ctrl+H' in the dialog box that opens up after you click on 'Open' or 'Save as' in File Menu. Just single click on one of the files (or anywhere in the main area if there's no file present) and press Ctrl+H.
