Description herbevans 2017-12-17 17:13:00 UTC
Description:
I can find no option to display recent documents in any fashion other than with thumbnails. Sometimes, the thumbnail display is all there is. Sometimes a tiny excerpt of the file name is beneath the thumbnail.
The display of "recent documents" may be trivial and boring to coders, but needs major attention even if they are bored working on it.
Users should be able to set preferences and modify the display, with an option to display a list without thumbnails visible, with full path names, dates of creation and modification, sizes, and with sort options, with the option to display file name extensions, and with tiny icons reflecting the file types and program association. E.g. .pdf's with icons reflecting whatever systemic association the user has in place; .DOC's (and its variants), again with pertinent icons.
