=========================================
Open new Writer then Tools/XML Filter Settings/New and Enter. That is all that is required for this crash.

What info do you have in the New XML Filter dialog?
Comment 2 Robert 2017-12-27 14:41:28 UTC
The XML Filter: New Filter dialog has the following fields Filter name, Application, Name of file type, File extension and Comments. Whether I change any of the default values or not makes not difference, once I press OK it crashes. I am using version 5.3.7.2 Release.

Is that what you meant?

Yep, I meant that.
Could you please try with verion 5.4.4.2 from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
Comment 4 Robert 2017-12-27 16:43:34 UTC
Tried 5.4.4.2 and that has solved the problem of it crashing.

I had thought that by entering XML Filter Settings I would be able to create a new filter and the associated xslt files but that does not appear to be the case. But that is all another problem for me to solve.

Thanks.
Rob.
