In Impress, select File - Print - LibreOffice Impress tab.
Select any option in the Contents, Color or Size section other than the defaults. 
Start the printing.
On the next run of the Print dialog, these settings are back on their defaults. 

I think it would be nice to have configuration keys for these and save these settings automatically.

As comparison, in Writer such settings are saved under Writer/Print/Content :

Sounds like an ordinary bug to me as we request user settings to retain. Removing needsUX.

Actually there are config keys to handle these settings, but they are supposed to work in a read-only fashion (see bug #122632). 
That part is going to be fixed for both Impress and Draw in: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/76079/
