You should be able to open hyperlinks from Calc cells.

I can using Ctrl + mouse click.

When the file is not in readonly mode you can enter the cell and ctrl+click the "inline" link. Hyperlinks on the cell itself via =HYPERLINK("http://libreoffice.org";"Hello World") don't work at all.
