Simple text file that can no longer be imported

Starting with an update installed on Feb 24, 2018, it is no longer possible to import text files into .odt files, e.g. the attached GNU Octave script.

A workaround is to open the file with a text editor and to use copy and paste, but this is not as nice as just use (with German user interface) Einfügen -> Dokument (Insert -> Document ?).

The problem also occurs when starting LibreOffice in save mode (Help -> Restart in Save Mode)

Some more information: Text files with the extension .txt can be imported, but not with extension .m. So another workaround is to change the extension of the file to be imported to .txt before importing, but this is awkward.

Hi Johannes, Xisco,

Same behavior as Xisco. I open it with
LO 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ on Windows 7 and prior versions.
Comment 4 Aron Budea 2018-02-26 23:40:08 UTC
this is an Ubuntu-specific issue, I could reproduce it with bundled LO 5.4.5.1 / Ubuntu 17.10, but not with TDF's LO 6.0.1.1 or 5.4.5.1 (ie. the file can be opened/inserted without problem there).
