Description: The Confluence-Wiki can export pages as MS-Word-documents, being saved as a .doc-file. These files can be opened by MS-Office, but Libre Office Writer isn't capable to show them correctly. Instead HTML/XML-source content is displayed Steps to Reproduce: 1. export from Confluence (tested with Confluence 6.2.4) 2. open DOC-file with writer Actual Results: HTML/XML-raw-content of the file is displayed, not a formatted document. Renaming .doc to .docx doesn't make a difference. Expected Results: formatted document Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I can offer a sample file to upload. For clarification: I mean Confluence from Atlassian, which is quite popular in software development teams: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confluence_(software)
It's not a valid doc document, but email https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-38237 It's confluence's bug. They should generate valid documents. Closing.
If Word 2003 and higher can open it seamlessly, the LO should be able too.
Yes, I can open it in MSO word 2010 Reproduced back to LibreOffice 3.3.0 OOO330m19 (Build:6) tag libreoffice-3.3.0.4
Quoting the description from https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-3823 : "Basically what is going on is that this is a multi-part email which Microsoft Word is able to display. It is not a real binary .doc file which can be opened by other tools which can open Word documents." Closing as RESOLVED NOTOURBUG
