The button 'CMIS' os only visible when 'experimental features' is truned on. This can be done under Tools/Option/LibreOffice/Advanced.

Mike Kaganski committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=f61c154a21ead9f27378e3c8dcee87678d17e334 tdf#116742: Only enable "CMIS" versions button for versionable CMIS It will be available in 6.2.0. The patch should be included in the daily builds available at http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours.
