Description Brock Freeman 2018-04-02 13:46:08 UTC
Description:
Found a bug in using PenPower Wireless Writing Pad http://sg.penpower.net/product.asp?sn=802 on MacOS 10.13.3 with OpenOffice 4.1.5 or LibreOffice 6.0.2 (latest versions). This happens in both English or Chinese MacOS interfaces.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a current or new OpenOffice or LibreOffice document (word processing or spreadsheet).
2. Type some text (English or Chinese).
3. Copy and then paste some text in the document.
4. Using the PenPower input pad, write any number of Chinese characters (this likely happens with English as well).

Actual Results:
Instead of the characters from the writing pad, the last item that was pasted is pasted again.

Expected Results:
The Chinese characters are written to the document by the pad app.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Works as expected in other MacOS apps.

Clearly an unsupported text stream format pushed to system clipboard. LO/AOo/OOo support would depend on a standard content "type" copied to clipboard, if any actually is.

No surprise it does not work with normal interface to system clipboard.

This needs to go to the PenPower folks as we can not guess their formats.
