Description: Hi, A word document consisting of tables with merged cells when converted to a HTML document through LibreOffice 6 version. The Word file clearly shows where the lines need to be for the appropriate data to be read correctly from the table. When rendered as HTML, unfortunately, displays the ways in which the column lines are shifted and skewed incorrectly. Screenshots are attached here within. Thanks and Regards Sakshi Singh Steps to Reproduce: 1. Take a Word document having merged cells in a table 2. Open the file in LibreOffice 3. Convert the file to HTML using Save as option Actual Results: The column lines are shifted and skewed incorrectly in the resultant file Expected Results: The table with merged cells in the document should come same after the conversion Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36

Created attachment 141128 [details] Screenshot comparing LibO vs. HTML in Firefox I'm not seeing any problem. I did notice a newer regression in 6.1, disappearing cell borders, but I have to report it as a new bug. Arch Linux 64-bit Version: 6.0.2.1.0+ Build ID: 6.0.2-1 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: kde4; Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI.UTF-8); Calc: group
hi Which version you have used, we can also try as the merged cells are fine in attachment Thanks Sakshi
(In reply to Sakshi Singh from comment #8) > Which version you have used, we can also try as the merged cells are fine in > attachment I mentioned the version in my comment, 6.0.2. I wonder, if you are confused with how the table changes width based on the browser width? Yet, that is not "shifting" or "skewing". It is just scaling dynamically. Maybe you want a fixed width, though?
hi The merged cells of the table in the document are not coming as expected or as in original form. The images which I have attached earlier is showing the issue with the merged cells in the table. Kindly refer that. Thanks Sakshi
Well I definitely am not seeing any "Basaglar" or "Lantus" in my version (as you can see). Are you specifically meaning: T2DM is above three columns although it should be above two?
hi The issue with the table is that we can view in the document that T1DM column is consisting of two merged cells columns: PQR (n=257) and ABC (n=258) The T2DM column is consisting of two merged cells columns: DEF (n=309) and GHI (n=310) but after conversion the T1DM is having only PQR(n=257) and T2DM is having rest three columns in it ABC (n=258), DEF (n=309) and GHI (n=310). This is changing the whole meaning of the data. Thanks Sakshi Singh
Ok, let me know how it goes with a newer version.
hi The issue still exist for the version 6.0 Thanks Sakshi
Working fine for me on Windows as well. You could try launching in Safe mode from the start menu or Help - Restart in safe mode and then Continue in safe mode. If it still doesn't work, for your personal workaround you can try File - Export - XHTML.
