Description MT 2018-04-14 04:59:25 UTC
Description:
Worked in version 5.4, not in version 6.0.
Normal printing not via pdf works.

In printout of the pdf from an inkjet the lines are visible, in output from two laser printers they are not.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create odt file with borderlines
2. Export to pdf
3. Print pdf

Actual Results:
When the pdf is sent to a laser printer the border lines do not show, but do when sent to an inkjet printer.

Expected Results:
The border lines should have been visible!

Reproducible: Always

But how is this an issue with LibreOffice, when you are dealing with a PDF reader + your own printer?
Comment 8 MT 2018-04-19 13:44:07 UTC
As the pdf files produced by LO 5.4 do not have this problem, something about the pdf generation in LO 6.0 must have changed, in this case (as far as people with laser printers are concerned) for the worse.

Of course, if the new pdf generator produces "correct" files it would be necessary to report the bug somewhere else (CUPS?).

However, maybe it would be possible for someone who knows his/her way around pdf to see what has changed from LO 5.4 to LO 6.0 as far as the lines are concerned – I'm afraid I don't have this knowledge.

I tested by printing out the 2nd page of attachment 141346 [details] from Okular with my Canon LBP7018C.
The only borderlines not visible were the ones around "Siegel".

This is only because you are reaching the limits of your printer. You must be aware that the colours on the computer screen cannot all be reproduced with printing.
In this case, the lines around "Siegel" are very thin and very light grey.

Solution is to use thicker lines and darker grey.
