It is noted that the bug also exists when copy-paste the cell content into a ods file.

Comment 4 Kevin Suo 2018-04-16 08:04:14 UTC
Moving back to UNCONFIRMED.

@m.a.riosv: As I mentioned in my original bug report, the bug exists in the newest version (i.e., 5.4.6.2). It also exists in the 6.0 verson.

You should test it in the same OS before closing it as WORKSFORME.
Comment 5 Kevin Suo 2018-04-16 08:09:36 UTC
By the way, this may be locale dependent.
Comment 6 m_a_riosv 2018-04-16 08:21:18 UTC
If it could be locale dependent please can you test with English?, I can't reproduce with:
Version: 6.0.3.2 (x64)
Build ID: 8f48d515416608e3a835360314dac7e47fd0b821
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default;
Locale: en-US (es_ES); Calc: CL

Have you tested with Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode.
Comment 7 Kevin Suo 2018-04-16 08:30:15 UTC
Resetting user profile resolves the issue. Thus it was caused by the modification of user profile by a certain version. I don't know which version caused the corruption of my user profile.

I am attaching the bad user profile in case some of you may be interested in.

Close as WORKSFORME now.

user profile which may reproduce this issue

You may reproduce this issue using the attached user profile.

That being said, this is not confirmed to be a regression - Althrough I do not reproduce in 3.6.7 but reproduce in 5.x, 3.* and 5.* uses different user profile. Thus I am removing regression keyword.
Comment 9 m_a_riosv 2018-04-16 08:38:28 UTC
Often the issues with profiles comes from an update.

It's indeed difficult to know what could be the bad record.

With the latest versions I haven't see this problem.

Resetting only registrymodifications.xcu file usually solves the issues.

Could you please try to install zh_CN langpack to see if you can reproduce using the attached user profile?

Yes, indeed.
Comment 12 Kevin Suo 2018-04-16 09:25:21 UTC
Further investigation indicates that the issue is related to the setting in:
Tools - Options - LibreOffice Calc - General - Use Printer Metrics for Text Formatting.

When enable this option, this bug happens in all versions including 3.6.7.2.
