- disable to use the master background
- set a color, gradient or hatching as background for the current slide

result: your settings are not taken into accounts - the slide background is always white

- now use the master background

result: now your slide settings for the background is used, but the master background settings are not respected.

works for me in Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: 4dbce627d3643babaf90a93c70b365ff08abfca6

I don't know what exactly do you mean. 

Anyway, please test it in current master, seems to be fixed in dev version. Thank you

- take the attached file
- disable to use the master background
