Description john4070 2018-05-30 20:44:45 UTC
Description:
Could not create shortcut LibreOffice 6.0 Ink.
Okay. I'm supposed to "verify that the destination folder exists and that I can access it."
Say what?
How would I have ANY IDEA of the destination folder. I though your installation was supposed to take care of that.
HELP? (I've even donated again!)
I can send a Snipping tool pic of the warning if you need it.

Actual Results:
It pops up when I try to install the program!

Expected Results:
I explained that above.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Have you installed with admin rights?
Comment 2 john4070 2018-06-02 18:54:11 UTC
Sorry, I'm 90 and having trouble following this process.
You tell me you need information and I don't know what it is.
How do I install with admin rights? I thought I always did!
I can not install 6 nor even reinstall 5.4.3.2! I have NO LibreOffice now.
I get the feeling that Windows Defender is keeping a file from loading thereby screwing up the install. It comes up with a warning but too fast for me to use the Snipping Tool on it.
Sorry to be so dense!
I'll appreciate your help!

It's only the icon missed, in cortana search for libreoffice.

It's the program soffice.exe in
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program for x64 version or
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice (x86)\program for x86 version

Is the program showed as installed in windows panel control. If so try uninstalling and install again.

Test disabling Windows defender.

Or try installing the portable version, that can be installed in any folder:
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/6.0.4.2/portable/
