Description voncloft 2018-06-10 06:21:23 UTC
I will open up Writer, Calc, etc.

When I attempt to scroll down by clicking on the scrollbar either horizontal or vertical - it will either A) Not scroll at all, B)Lag erratically in the program - having to wait seconds or even a minute to move.

I am using Gentoo Linux, with KDE.
Comment 1 Jean-Baptiste Faure 2018-06-10 09:51:43 UTC
- Which LibreOffice version?
- If I understand correctly, your encounter this behavior in every component (Writer, Calc, etc.); right?
- Did you try to disable OpenGL in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View ?
- Do you still see the same behavior if you launch LibreOffice in a terminal with the following command:
export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN="gen" && libreoffice

Status set to NEEDINFO, please set it back to UNCONFIRMED once requested
informations are provided.

Best regards. JBF

1) 6.0.4.2

2) Yes ever component

3) Yes disabled OpenGL and OpenCL

4) Yes - same result

I am using plasma dark as Plasma theme.

Version 5.4.5.1 had no problems, (aside from taking the theme of dark theme but was 'livable' I would just use high contrast for icons)

However know the entire application is grey as a background - which is great, but everything after 5.4.5.1 has been doing this I dried to downgrade to 5.4.7.2 - same result.

please retest with 6.0.5.2
Comment 5 voncloft 2018-06-21 18:46:22 UTC
That version is not in Gentoo's portage tree at this time,

All that exist are:

   6.0.3.2 | o + ~ o o o o + o o o o o o o o | 6 o | gentoo

Got it to compile, still having issues.
Comment 9 Buovjaga 2018-06-24 19:28:57 UTC
Can you get other Gentoo users to confirm this bug? Still, it seems like a Gentoo-only bug for now (works for me with Arch Linux & KDE)

Best I could do was install gentoo on another pc, same result

Ok, now I read your thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1082324-start-0.html and realised you are using *GTK3* backend with KDE and not kde4, like I thought.
