Hi Massimo,

Can you try to save your file as csv as following:
File > Save as...
Choose Type as Text CSV and tick Edit filter settings.
Once Save selected, you will can choose the parameters.
I chose (Tab)as Field delimiter and Quote all text cells
and it seems to work.
Is it the same for you?

Also with "edit settings" checked, same error as soon as I click on [Save].

I could have different settings for CSV export, it depends on the last file I converted to CSV.

Calc must show the settings before any other operation / check,
otherwise the user cannot change them and solve this error.

You can't confirm your own bugs. Moving it back to UNCONFIRMED until someone
else confirms it.

Hi Massimo,

Thank you for your answer.
I have two steps after "Save": Ccnfirm File Format, then Export Text File allowing to change the parameters there where you find imediately the error message.
Can you try to use "Restart in Safe Mode..." in Help menu to exclude a setting issue. To try a newer version could be also a good thing.

Unfortunately starting LO in "Safe Mode" doesn't help, same error.

I tried both the first and last choice (see attached image "Restore options")
* restore from "security" (?) copy
...
* restore from factory defaults
  [*] restore user settings
[*] restore the full user profile

I hope you understand that 5.4 is end of life: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan/5.4#End_of_Life

If you want support for it, you have to pay for it: https://www.documentfoundation.org/gethelp/developers/

To be fair, this is probably an issue with settings, and there's no actual bug with CSV export. Too bad the settings used for CSV export weren't attached.
