Created attachment 142791 [details] Inkscape search for feature In draw you focus on shapes and colors, so it would be very useful to select an item and you can select all other shapes with the same area fill color, border color, shape style, ... I submit a screenshot how this was done in inkscape. It's very useful when you would like to find all elements with the same color to recolor them.
Selection by color attribute, maybe an additional panel on the Find & Replace dialog including a palette picker. We do have similar with the Color Replacer but only for bitmaps and metafiles. Has no support for Draw objects--could that GUI be extended?
While this function might be very handy in Inkscape we don't need to copycat what others do. There are styles in Draw, you can copy the formatting (also making it sticky and apply to many objects), the mentioned color replacer and we provide several methods to apply a color/style. Plus, I miss a clear use case. Keep it simple and do not introduce another function.
It's one of the functions I use from the Inkscape right click menu. That's the reason I ask for this function.
