Description: I was analyzing some financial information. One column contained $ amounts. I elected to create subtotals grouped by data in another column. Each subtotal created was not a $ amount it was simply a number with a 1 to 5 digit decimal. Steps to Reproduce: 1.create subtotal 2. 3. Actual Results: no $ and unspecified decimal precision Expected Results: should be a $ amount. (I assume the problem exists for all possible cell formats in that it appears existing cell format in no applied. You can force the number format when in the Subtotals dialog under Options Sort Include formats is checked. Yes, this is not obvious. That should be preset for the anonymous DB range that is created for the subtotals if no database range exists for the range, from which it would be inherited otherwise (the Keep formatting option there).
