Prompt window

As explained in Bug 107929, we have: "Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc/Formula - Recalculation on file load" with setting "Prompt user".
Prompt window as shown in attachment doesn't have Help button, but it should.
F1 should also open the right help.
Help content is Bug 107930.

Typically we do not have Help on confirmation boxes, or am I wrong?
Comment 2 Timur 2018-08-29 07:58:20 UTC
I don't know. But we should have it where deemed useful.
Where choice is obvious and help is not needed ("do you want to overwrite?") is different from where it's not and where the concept itself may be unbeknown to a user ("do you want to recalculate?").
Comment 3 Heiko Tietze 2018-08-29 08:20:28 UTC
The point is that confirmation means yes or no and it's unclear what happens when pressing "Help" (that's also why those dialogs typically don't have an x on top right). Ideally, the question is simple and clear but if not a hyperlink could serve the 'more information while the dialog remains open' situation.

@Olivier, what do you think ?
Comment 5 Olivier Hallot 2018-08-29 11:25:23 UTC
IMHO, no need for help buttons in confirmation dialogs. The topic is already covered in Help pages when opening Help from Tools- Options - LibreOffice Calc - Formula, which is the dialog that triggers the confirmation:

https://help.libreoffice.org/6.1/en-US/text/shared/optionen/01060900.html

Suggestion: Invalid.

Closing as RESOLVED INVALID. Set it back to UNCONFIRMED if you disagree..
Comment 7 Timur 2018-08-29 12:52:21 UTC
I strongly disagree with not functional software and not correct logic and not helpful help.
Why do you think that user will come to Options to learn about recalculation?
There are a number of bugs where they say "my numbers are wrong, why"?
Surely they had no idea about recalculation and options because they are hidden.
I found my answer: because of this Bug, Bug 107929 and Bug 107930.
See in See Also for Bug 107929 if topic is properly covered.
But I will not open. I did enough to report, no need to argue more.
Let's spend some more years with the same bugs.
Comment 8 Timur 2018-08-29 12:53:51 UTC
PS even status is WRONG. Request is clear and not INVALID but WONTFIX.
Comment 9 Xisco Faulí 2018-08-29 13:13:55 UTC
Well, not everything is white or black.
Maybe a more info link as suggested by Heiko in comment 3 could work here...
