Description Alex 2018-08-19 19:34:49 UTC
Description:
Exporting a canvas featuring highlighted text to an SVG file in Draw leads to an exported canvas with unhighlighted text. Export to jpg/gif exports canvas with highlighted text.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open draw
2. create a text box with sample text
3. highlight text with a colour
4. export as svg
5. open svg (in draw and/or browser)

Actual Results:
Canvas with correct text but no highlighting

Expected Results:
Canvas with correct text and highlighting

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
SVG exporting is significantly improved in recent LO versions (thanks all!), but this bug remains.

CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.2; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3

Comment 9 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2023-11-05 17:36:03 UTC
Repro in recent trunk build:

Version: 24.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 31fb3045dabdb27d913712f3abcade315e3ea9bd
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Already the case in libreoffice-5.0.0.1, when the UI to highlight was added for bug 88276.
CharBackColor is supported since LO 4.4: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.4#Text_background_color
