I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) Processor: 3.1 GHz Intel Corer i7 OS: MacOC High Sierra I'm using Libre Office, Calc, Ver. 6.0.6.2 Problem Description: (1) Linked, external files cause application to crash. (2) Removing external links doesn't quite solve the problem. Upon opening a file that once had an external link, I'm asked if I want to update the link. "Yes" causes a crash. "No" avoids a crash.
Seems to be a duplicate of bug 119141. Please could you check? Status set to NEEDINFO, please set it back to UNCONFIRMED once requested informations are provided. Best regards. JBF
This bug is similar to bug 119141. In my case, I was trying to paste/link to another Libre Office Calc file (not to a web page).
Thank you for reporting the bug. Please attach a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug. (Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive information before attaching it. See https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FAQ#How_can_I_eliminate_confidential_data_from_a_sample_document.3F for help on how to do so.) I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested document is provided.
Thank you for your quick replies. Unfortunately, the documents are my personal balance sheet and income statement. Everything in it is personal. The good news is that I can manage to avoid doing things that crash the program (no cells linked to other documents). Feel free to close this ticket. There's not more that I can do I think. P.S. I am one who donates to the cause.
Not reproducible for me with my own file (spreadsheet linked to a csv data file). Tested with LO 6.0.6 provided by PPA Ubuntu 18.04 x86-64. (In reply to Ian from comment #4) > [...] > Feel free to close this ticket. There's not more that I can do I think. Ok, so closing as InsufficientData. Feel free to reopen in the case you still encounter this crash with a file without private data that you can share. Best regards. JBF
On the other hand, would you mind sharing the document privately with me so I can investigate the issue?
