STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1) Open a new sheet in LibreOffice Calc 2) Insert a new comment 3) Write something in the box. 4) Move the move pointer to the border of the box. It is not possible to resize On my machine, the box has space for 15 Characters per line. And two lines of them. More text is possible, it just overflows to the bottom, but it always breaks on the small width, which is only slightly more than the width of a single default column. The box cannot be resized, in contrast to the box that show up if you make it always-visible using "Show Comment". EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR a) The box should have a bigger default size or -even better- should increase its width in case the text doesn't fit anymore. Similar behavour can be seen in LibreOffice Draw with Text boxes. EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR b) 4) When moving the mouse cursor to the border, it should be possible to resize the comment box ADDITIONAL INFORMATION See attached screenshots in case you cannot reproduce it on your machine. Personally, I never had a different behaviour. I'm using 1:6.0.3-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
Created attachment 144755 [details] Screenshots which show how small the comment box is and how complicated it is to resize it
I confirm. The windows is small. You can't edit size when you're entering text. You have to enter persistent mode. May be a lack of feature Help says : "To change the object properties of a comment, for example the background color, choose Show Comment as above, then right-click the comment (do not double-click the text)."
