Created attachment 144922 [details] Sample DOC This is the same as bug 117134, but the document is in DOC format this time. The attached DOC contains two tables, right below one another. The first one is a floating table (text wrapping set to: Around), there's an empty line between the tables, but it slides up next to the first table because of that. See attachment 141509 [details] for how it looks in Word. In Writer the two tables (the first is imported inside a frame) mostly overlap. Similarly to bug 117134, just slightly differently. This is a case where having a setting mentioned in bug 117132 could be useful. Observed using LO 6.1.1.2 & 4.4.0.3 / Windows 7. Tables don't overlap in 4.0.0.3. This is likely not a clear-cut regression, nevertheless, finding the commit where it started would be nice.
The overlap started with the following commit (plus ce0f4825730a0f96ca5369a7d07982ea073901fb, which fixed a compilation issue), bibisected using repo bibisect-41max. https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=4e07258cbd1f4fb16d6ce2174fb5c74c3b36da33 author Chen ZuoJun <zjchen@apache.org> 2012-10-08 12:21:52 +0000 committer Xisco Fauli <anistenis@gmail.com> 2013-04-14 17:52:34 +0200 "#i119466# Doc file loaded by AOO, table with incorrect text wrapping property." Dear Aron Budea, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
Still buggy in 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ (bb6bcabda53dbd64dda43f09fab9f4ad6f34eba6).
Since LO doesn't know how to "wrap" a table around floating objects, I wouldn't consider this a DOC bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 106840 ***
