Hmm, this is not *exactly* a duplicate (surely related though). You can't edit a Writer document while saving (not even any other Writer document). Calc is more or less responsive. Except for the missing invisible characters while typing.. But on the other hand, LibO doesn't support saving & editing at the same time in a proper way.. Nah, lets stick with: bug 48416
