We don't change the color that has been set in the color picker and when you change object 1 to color X you can repeat this for all other objects. Furthermore the color picker has a 'recently used' section where you are able to pick one. And finally the direct formatting is not what we should support too much since using styles is much more sustainable. What I would support is a color picker known from raster graphic tools such as GIMP. You click on some point and it picks the color from that pixel. This function could go into the "Pick a color" dialog that opens on "Custom color...". But that's another topic.
Dude, this idea is to achieve "humanity." Humanize Humanize Humanize
I would support adding a right-click item to each color box, similar to what Inkscape has: when you right-click in the bottom-left box in Inkscape’s status bar, a context menu appears giving you that option. This solution wouldn’t require us to add any UI to the color drop-down. What do you think, Heiko?
Inkscape puts the hex value in the clipboard, you can do the same at the custom color dialog with the hex value. No UI sounds okay but the function would spoils the clipboard. My problem with the idea is the missing use case. The color picker provides a very efficient way to apply a color to objects. You have not only the full palette but also recently used colors. And that's more than one to copy/paste.
