No tip about opening a link is shown when I hover over a link that is inside a shape or inside a text box in Writer.

Observed:
No tip about opening a link is shown when I hover over a link that is inside a shape or inside a text box in Writer.

What is expected:

A tip saying "Ctrl-click to follow hyperlink + (the link) is expected to be shown when hovering over a link

Samuel Mehrbrodt committed a patch related to this issue.
It has been pushed to "master":

tdf#121014 Display tooltip for URLs in Writer textboxes/shapes

It will be available in 6.4.0.

The patch should be included in the daily builds available at
https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More
information about daily builds can be found at:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Testing_Daily_Builds

Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.

It is working now with all other Linux backends except gtk3! Should I open a new report for it?

Yes, if you can confirm the bug, please open a new one for that.
