Created attachment 146132 [details] Screenshot of text context menu, LibO 6.2.0.0.alpha1+ 2018-10-29 The sub-menu items of the text context menu in Writer 6.2.0.0.alpha1+ from 2018-10-29 have "..." (ellipses) that symbolize that a new dialog opens or more user action is needed (BTW note to Heiko: I like these ellipses! :-) But the sub-menu items only open sub-menus of the context menu and no further dialog. Therefore the ellipses must be removed here. Or--and this is what I would love to see--make the sub-menu items real commands as they look identical to the first item in the sub-menus for characters and paragraphs. This would shorten the time for the user to open the Character or Paragraph dialog. The rules for such new(?) behavior in LibreOffice can be: - The combined context menu item/sub-menu item must be looks like the single context menu item. - The first item of the sub-menu must be identical to the combined item. - This combinated item can be used on a case-by-case basis and carefully. It wont work with all sub-menus.

Yes, it will be removed after the labels will be splitted, see my comments in https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/62242/. > Or--and this is what I would love to see--make the sub-menu items real > commands as they look identical to the first item in the sub-menus for > characters and paragraphs. Technically impossible (as long as we use native menus), similar to Bug 84177.
Thanks, Maxim. Then I set this bug to status RESOLVED FIXED with reference to your gerrit link and I forget the "real command" idea.
