  > no popup shows

The commit causing the problem was reverted in https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=4201779de7441c03fbf0fea665d17ed2328970cc

thanks - I now see it is not per see password protected files. Opening any file via the browser has the same problem.

it's not. I'm misinformed about the files I have with passwords..
