If the navigator is open as part of the main window and has to be updated after starting writer - for instance the image tree has to be updated - libreoffice Versie: 6.1.2.1 Build ID: 1:6.1.2-0ubuntu1.1 hangs if the user interacts before the update of the navigator is finished. Problem started with build 1:6.1.1.

Fix: wait until the navigator is updated, but I forget this every time.

Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not
related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and
re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

New profile fixes the problem.

The real problem is not the profile.
If Languetools 4.3 is installed and active the bug surfaces.

Problem is fixed in 6.1.3
